Senior Veterinarian | Help Shape the Future of Vetwest Bibra Lake
Not every veterinary role is about stepping into something established. Some are about helping build something special.
At Vetwest Bibra Lake, we're entering an exciting new chapter.
Following a recent clinic renovation, we're rebuilding momentum, growing our loyal client base, and creating the kind of workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. We're looking for an experienced Veterinarian who wants to be part of that journey - someone who enjoys building relationships, taking ownership of their cases, and being surrounded by teammates who always have each other's backs.
This role isn't about walking into a busy conveyor belt of appointments. It's about becoming part of a close-knit team, getting to know your clients and patients, and helping shape the future of a clinic that's ready to grow.
You'll be joining a supportive Practice Manager, three experienced veterinarians, and four fantastic nurses who believe great veterinary care starts with great teamwork. We celebrate the wins together, support each other through the busy days, and genuinely enjoy what we do.
If you're the kind of vet who loves the variety of general practice, enjoys surgery as much as consulting, and values continuity of care, you'll fit right in.
Why You'll Love Working Here
🐾 Be part of an exciting growth journey as our renovated clinic continues to evolve
🐾 Join a genuinely supportive team where collaboration comes naturally
🐾 Build lasting relationships with loyal clients who value continuity of care
🐾 Enjoy a varied small animal caseload across medicine, surgery and preventative health
🐾 Strong nursing support that allows you to focus on delivering great patient care
🐾 Clinical freedom to work up your own cases and practice medicine your way
🐾 Full-time or part-time opportunities available to suit your lifestyle
🐾 $2,000 CPD allowance plus one week of paid study leave every year
🐾 Access to one of Australia's strongest veterinary networks, with endless opportunities for mentorship, collaboration and career development
🐾 The support of the wider VetWest and VetPartners community while still enjoying the feel of a local neighborhood clinic
About the Role
As one of our veterinarians, you'll enjoy the variety that makes general practice so rewarding.
You'll consult, diagnose, perform surgery, follow your cases through, and build genuine relationships with clients who trust you with their pets' care. We encourage clinical autonomy while knowing there's always someone nearby to bounce ideas off or lend a hand.
The role includes:
- Small animal general practice
- A diverse caseload across medicine, surgery and preventative care
- Routine and more complex soft tissue surgery
- Continuity of care from consultation through to recovery
- Working alongside an experienced, collaborative team
- Shared weekend roster
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team just as much as they enjoy practicing great medicine.
You'll ideally have:
- 3+ years' experience in small animal practice
- A DVM (or equivalent) and eligibility for veterinary registration in Australia
- Confidence in routine and more complex soft tissue surgery
- Strong consulting and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support those around you
- A genuine desire to contribute to a clinic that's continuing to grow
