Permanent Full-Time Veterinary Nurse – Vets at Amaroo

Are you a veterinary nurse looking to join a friendly, supportive team where your skills are genuinely valued and your career can continue to grow?

Vets at Amaroo is looking for a permanent full-time veterinary nurse to join our close-knit small animal team. We’re a modern, professional clinic with a strong focus on providing compassionate, high-quality care for our patients and their families.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys variety, teamwork and being involved in all aspects of clinical nursing. Our nurses are an integral part of the team and have the opportunity to work across a diverse caseload including medicine, surgery, dentistry, preventative care and hospital nursing.

You’ll be supported by an experienced team with a wide range of interests across general medicine, surgery, preventative healthcare, dentistry, animal behaviour and complex medical cases. We work collaboratively, encourage initiative and support our nurses to continue developing their skills and pursuing their professional interests.

What we offer:

  • A permanent full-time position with stability, support and opportunities for long-term growth
  • A welcoming, team-focused workplace where nurses are genuinely valued
  • Exposure to a varied small animal caseload (cats and dogs)
  • Hands-on experience across clinical nursing, anaesthesia, patient monitoring, surgical support and hospital care
  • Mentoring and ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Real career pathways – develop your clinical skills, explore specialist interests, or grow into leadership roles
  • Professional Memberships – we will cover your professional membership with the VNCA
  • Health & wellbeing support – access to 24/7 EAP support with Sonder, Mental Health First Aid network and wellbeing initiatives
  • Everyday discounts & perks – savings on fuel, groceries, travel, entertainment and more
  • Pet Benefits – exclusive discounts on veterinary services and products for your own pets
  • Connected community – be part of a supportive network of veterinary professionals across Australia and New Zealand

About you:

  • Holds a Cert IV in Vet Nursing or equivalent
  • Has a minimum of 2 years’ veterinary nursing experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong patient care focus and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and commitment to gold-standard veterinary care
  • A willingness to continue learning and contribute to a supportive team environment

At Vets at Amaroo, we believe great patient care comes from a great team. Our nurses are involved across consultations, hospital nursing, surgical support, patient care and client communication — not limited to just one area of the clinic.

Our clinic uses EzyVet as our practice management system, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a professional, organised and supportive environment where every team member contributes to our success.

If you’re a passionate veterinary nurse who enjoys variety, teamwork and making a real difference to patients and clients, we’d love to hear from you.

Join the Vets at Amaroo team and become part of a clinic where your skills, ideas and contribution truly matter.
